Ideal for a variety of cryogenic storage applications, including cell and microbiological cultures, serum/blood, or other biological materials. Made from specially formulated polypropylene for extra durability, these vials withstand temperatures as low as 1900C (-3100F). A silicone washer inside the cap forms a tight, leakproof seal. And, since both cap and vial are made from the same material, any expansion at extreme temperatures will affect both parts equally, so seal remains secure. Available with either external or internal threads for attaching cap.
All Cryovial vials are clear in color and feature a large white marking area and white printed graduations in 0.1ml increments. Accessory cap inserts allow you to color code vials to further improve sample identification. All vials have round bottoms and most also feature self-standing universal locking bases that permit one-handed cap manipulation when used with workstation rack.
