Each mailing container can accommodate two sample tubes of 10 ml volume. It is ideally suited for the 9 ml S-Monovette® or any tube of 16.5 mm diameter and an overall length of max. 107 mm.
The mailing container is filled with a coolant (Sodium Carbonate) and should be frozen in a horizontal position at least at -12° C before mailing.
A Styrofoam casing protects against warmth and possible transit damage. A private label can be printed onto the container on request. The cool transport container is not suitable for samples that are not allowed to freeze, as a non-frozen sample would freeze when placed inside the deep-frozen cool transport container.
Each complete set consists of a transport container complete with coolant, Styrofoam casing and rubber band.
Samples take aproximately 15 hours to reach freezing and about 8 to 10 hours to thaw.
