Obtaining saliva samples offers a number of advantages over the more traditional methods of blood collection. The Salivette® uses an optimal method for obtaining full saliva samples. Saliva is easily obtained by chewing on a roll-shaped saliva collector in order to stimulate salivation. Both the cotton swab "SAR-511534" and the synthetic swab "SAR-511534500" versions can be used to collect samples. The Salivette® Cortisol with synthetic swab however, was specially designed for Cortisol determination from saliva.
The blue screw cap visibly distinguishes the Salivette® Cortisol synthetic swab version from the other cotton swab version.
The printed label provides sufficient writing space for important patient information and collection time.
The Salivette® Cortisol is designed to achieve precise analytical values from small volumes and samples with very low cortisol levels.
